Sabine Kruspig is a German patent attorney and supports the firm, particularly in selected software and computer technology matters. She studied automation engineering at Dresden University of Technology.
Her career initially took her to the Patent Office of the former GDR and to an institute of computer science. In 1992, she joined the European Patent Office, first as a patent examiner and later as a director in the field of computers. In total, she has nearly 25 years of experience in European patent grant proceedings, including more than a decade in a management role.
She focuses on the legal and technical assessment of computer-implemented inventions. Her many years of inside experience with EPO examination practice and case law inform her advisory work, specialist lectures and co-authorship with Dr Claudia Schwarz.
